The fruit sets the scale
Roner states that nine kilograms of pears go into its 70 cl bottle of Williams Reserv. These are Williams-Christ pears from South Tyrol, picked by hand at full ripeness. The quantity helps show the work around the fruit.
Two distillations and a year of rest
Following double distillation, this fruit spirit rests for one year in stainless-steel tanks. Reserv therefore does not mean oak ageing in this case. The choice of vessel keeps pear at the centre of the experience, preserving a direct fruit expression rather than moving its character towards a different aromatic register created by barrels.
Pear fills the palate
The producer describes intense ripe pear, a rounded, full-bodied palate, harmonious sweetness and a slightly bitter touch. The finish holds the Williams fragrance for a long time.
