How to reheat a pizza at home: La Corte Segreta’s tips
Many of you have asked us this. Although it may seem simple to some, it is not obvious to everyone. And at La Corte Segreta, we like to do things properly, even when reheating a pizza.
We know some customers do not reheat it at all, but we still recommend doing so. It gives the pizza a real second bake, revives its flavours and makes the dough even crisper.

Perhaps you ate here and took home a leftover slice, or bought a whole pizza to take away, perhaps even for the next day. Whatever the situation, the method is simple and accessible to everyone.
Start by preheating your oven to 250 °C. If your oven has a fan-assisted or forced-air setting, switch it on. While preheating, place a small container of water at the bottom of the oven. This creates a slightly humid atmosphere, perfect for preventing the dough from drying out and helping it regain its suppleness.
Important! If your pizza contains cured ham, remember to remove it before putting the pizza in the oven. It is better to put it back on after the pizza comes out.
Once the oven is properly hot, place the pizza directly on the rack, without baking paper. If you have a baking stone, which is ideal for a perfectly crisp base, wait an extra five minutes after the oven reaches the temperature to make sure the stone is properly hot. Then place the pizza directly on it and heat for around three to four minutes.
And there you are: it is ready. You have brought your pizza back to life while respecting the qualities of its dough and ingredients. Buon appetito.
