Orval List 2025
To celebrate our first anniversary, La Corte Segreta Pizzeria Soignies presents La Matilda, our signature pizza for 2025. Created specifically to be enjoyed with Orval, this pairing celebrates the character of the fire, the finesse of the dough and the aromatic complexity of the famous Belgian Trappist beer.
Our cellar offers a collection of Orval vintages, from 2025 to 2020. Each year has its own personality: freshness in the younger bottles, depth and rounder notes in the older ones.
Although the perfect pairing remains La Matilda & Orval, these exceptional beers can also accompany our Italian cheese and charcuterie platters or any other pizza on our menu.
Orval List
Orval 2025 — 7 €
Young, lively and spirited. Intense aromas of fresh hops, citrus and golden malt. On the palate, it has a distinct bitterness and sparkling freshness. Served at 8 °C, it reveals all its energy and is an ideal accompaniment to La Matilda.
Orval 2024 — 8,50 €
One year of development. The bitterness softens, the bubbles become finer, and floral and resinous notes blend with a malty touch. Served chilled at 8 °C, it retains its vitality and an elegant balance between strength and softness.
Orval 2023 — 9,50 €
Two years of rest and already a lovely maturity. The Brettanomyces yeasts gently make their presence felt, bringing nuances of fine leather, spices and woodland undergrowth. The palate becomes drier and more harmonious, with a mineral finish that lingers.
Orval 2022 — 12 €
Three years of age and a perfect balance between the legacy of the hops and the depth of ageing. Notes of warm bread, dried citrus and aromatic herbs come together on a dry, refined palate.
Orval 2021 — 14,50 €
Four years of development. The hops fade, giving way to notes of leather, dried fruit and golden hay. The palate becomes supple, full and perfectly integrated, with a long woody finish.
Orval 2020 — 16 €
Five years of patience for a beer that has become almost meditative. Elegant oxidative aromas, recalling sherry, hazelnut and a subtle ageing acidity. A fine texture, dry finish and noble balance: a rare tasting experience.
